Forced out of his own company by former protege Darren Cross, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) recruits the talents of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), a master thief just released from prison. What's it all about?

A (briefly) traumatized Tony Stark steps back from the action, only to be drawn back into it by another tech-industry figure and his puppet villain, an actor called Trevor who was the toast of Croydon. Thor has some trouble with a red McGuffin and some Dark Elves. Captain America is forced to turn against his own corrupt government when his old pal Bucky turns up as a brainwashed super soldier. The Guardians of the Galaxy are a bunch of Allen ne-er-do-wells wno have troubie witn a purple McGuffin and the alien warlord Thanos, and we also meet petty criminal Scott Lang who inherits shrinking technology and becomes Ant-Man But neither the Guardians nor Ant-Man have anything to do with the Avengers, who team up again to take down the cyber-consciousness Ultron, wrecking the country of Sokovia in the process.
